Zepto Mythos

The latest Zepto press release informs us about a new laptop model added recently, called Zepto Mythos, with a superb presentation in green.

Inspired by the Greek word “Legend”, Mythos’ name together with a stylish white design, unveil a strong computer, powered by the Intel Core 2 Duo-processor technology at 2GHz via the P7350 model, or 2.26GHz, if the P8400 is chosen. It has up to 8GB system memory, up to 4GB DDR2 memory, up to 320GB SATA HDD storage capacity, DVD-RW, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, built-in web camera of 2MP, and microphone. The graphics card is an NVIDIA Geforce 9600M GT with 512MB memory, Nvidia PhysX and CUDA ready, the latte in charge with speeding up your laptop up to 12 times more.
Mythos A15 with the optional Ultra Crisp panel has a 15.4-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixel s, offering two possible configuration: Value starting at £699.85 and Power available at £837.88.

Included features are: power modes, Night LED, volume, Bluetooth Wireless, Media player, Touchpad on/off, and 2.8 mm key movement for increased ergonomics. The Night LED does not refer at keyboard’s backlight but it is a feature used to turn off the visual indicators like power, battery or Wi-Fi, and leave only the hard drive indicator On, to be able to see when the laptop is working.
In October Zepto will provide also a docking station for the laptop model, with HDMI, 6 USB ports and Digital audio out. These besides the TV Tuner, Turbo Memory Card, and Wireless Lan Cards.
For security, Mythos has the fingerprint reader technology enabled to provide data access only to the right user.

It supports Linux-based operating systems like Ubuntu, but Zepto does not provide guidance for this, highlighting the fact that it will require 3rd party drivers for the webcam, fingerprint scanner and TV Tuner card.
