The new notebook announced by Zonbu is a model based on the Everex laptop but with the Zonbu operating system installed. This means that it has a 15.4-inch display with a resolution of 1440×900 pixels, and a VIA C7-M processor at 1.5GHz, plus 512 MB memory. The VIA Chrome9 HC is the integrated graphics card.
Remember the project received by the students at Massachusetts Institute of Technology? They had to build a device that converts mechanical power into efficient electrical power, during a course called Introduction to Civil and Environmental Engineering Design, and so they came up with an exercise bicycle that uses â€œpedaling powerâ€ to charge a notebook.
It seems that Philips will found new factories in Brazil during December, the country that will be the first where this company will manufacture and sell its notebooks, with desktop computers to follow after. Philips’ goal is to conquer 10% of the market until 2010.
Tsukumo from Tokyo made available their latest notebook model called Caderna, at different prices depending on the final configuration. People can choose from a powerful 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T250 Centrino processor or a more powerful 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 7500. This way the prices are ranging from $1,860 to $2,154.
