Blackberry Z30 review.

In recent times the Blackberry fans have been riddled with bad news every now and then and the future for the Blackberry camp does not look promising at the present scenario. Right from dropping profits to firing employees to changing CEO’s, the company has done everything in its power to reverse the tides but the efforts have been more or less futile. Blackberry had even decided to allow a take over of the company but has changed the decision at the last moment.

The two devices they have released in an attempt to turnover the current situation are the Blackberry Z10 and the Blackberry Z30 smartphones. The Blackberry Z30 was released recently and is now the flagship device for the Blackberry camp.

Build And Design.

The Z30 can be termed as the first “phablet” of the company, however some might debate that the screen size falls just short to let it be termed as a phablet. Nevertheless the 5 inch screen is a new addition to the Blackberry devices and is a certainly welcome change. Apple was criticized heavily when it released the iPhone 4 with no addition but a slightly bigger screen than its predecessor. However Blackberry have not done the same mistake and the new Z30 has a lot to offer compared to its predecessor which was launched a few months ago.

The Z30 has the usual carbon feel back cover which has the Blackberry official logo shaped like 7 flying D’s. The bottom horizontal portion of the device has an aluminum build and the entire bezel is surrounded with the silver metal colored protective bezel adding to the sturdiness of the device and making the device comfortable to handle, even though it is considerably large in size. The phone has a premium feel and is extremely comfortable to handle and durable to use similar to the previous Blackberry devices.

Features And Specifications.

The most important feature that the Z30 offers is the new and exclusive Blackberry 10 operating system. The operating system has garnered positive critical reception and has been lauded for the new features added in the operating system. Plus the launch of the BBM messenger on competing mobile platforms has also helped in improving the image of the company in the market. The Z30 is powered by a Dual Core Krait processor which clocks in at 1.7Ghz and also possesses an Adreno 320 dedicated GPU. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal flash memory which is used to store the OS files and also available to store data by the user himself.

The device is powered with a SUPER AMOLED 5′ screen which provides a maximum resolution power of 720×1080 pixels and is a beauty to look at. The 8 megapixel camera and the 2 megapixel front camera are also an added advantage to the device and can be used to capture images as well as to be used while making video calls. The phablet is powered by a 2880mAh battery which provides a considerable amount of battery backup to the device.

Performance.

The 2880 mAh battery provides a maximum of 25 hours of talktime on a 2G network and slightly lesser 18 hours of backup on the 3 G network. The standby time of the device is an impressive 384 hours. The battery however cannot be removed and is somewhat of an hindrance to the users in this aspect. The dual core processor and 2 GB ram provide a smooth and fast experience when the user uses the various features of the device.

The Blackberry 10 OS provides excellent features and is one of the most exciting things about this device, for which already rave reviews are coming in from top reviewers.

Conclusion.

The Blackberry Z30 is targeted by the company to be the savior of the organization and they have placed all their bets on the success of the device. The Z10 even though a critical success has somewhat failed in the sales department, and the figures of sales of the device have so far proven disappointing. The Z30 is an excellent smartphone and we hope it helps the company stand up back on its feet with its head held high and reclaim its rightful place, in the best smartphone manufacturers in the world. The Blackberry Z30 costs INR 39,999 and is available in all the leading retail stores for sale.

LG G2 Phablet review.

LG is already big in the news for their association with Google and their excellent Nexus brand. The Nexus phone is already stirring the market and now LG has provided this outstanding device which guarantees that everyone in the mobile phone market is bound to take LG seriously. This is the finest offering from the South Korean electronics manufacturer and is a contender to the best android phone released into the market this year.

Build And Design.

The phone has been designed in an innovative way unlike any other phone before. The phone is sealed off entirely and there is no way the user can remove the battery of the phone. This has allowed LG to design the battery as they wanted and has kept it limited to the boundaries of the phone.
This design freedom has allowed them to design the internal circuit of the phone with more freedom and hence helped the company to design a unique device. The volume rocker and the power button of the phone are placed under the camera behind the phone which is an example of the unique design. Thus accidentally pressing the buttons when you pick the phone is now a thing of the past.
Also, if the user does not agree with these button designs then he just has to tap the screen twice to unlock the screen and tap two times again in order to turn off the device completely.

Features And Specifications.

The device is powered by a Krait 400 Quad Core processor which clocks at an excellent 2.26 Ghz processing speed. This is one of the most powerful processors to be given to an Android phablet. The Adreno 330 GPU is used in the device which helps the device to seamlessly run any gaming applications on this device. The device boasts a 16 or 32 GB of internal memory which depends upon the needs and budget restrictions of the user as the 32 GB device costs more. The True HD-IPS display on the screen has an excellent pixel density of upto 424ppi. The screen is comparable to the retina display that is present on the Apple devices. The device comes with the latest Android operating system, with a fluid and quick update to KitKat promised by the company.

Performance.

The device is very smooth and quick in operations and an overall delight to use for the owner. The bezel of the device comes in two colors white and gray the user can chose according to their liking.
